چکیده

The use of daylight in educational settings has a significant impact on the well-being, attention, and academic achievement students. However, providing adequate daylighting without glare can be difficult, especially deep-plan layout classrooms, because is not constant its strength varies with distance from façade, necessitating additional solutions frequently. In this study, tubular guidance systems (TDGS) movable shading devices are proposed to increase availability Yaşar University Faculty Architecture Temporary Studio, which deep plan receives only southeast facade. objective was meet LEED evaluation requirements for each zone, require sDA at least 55% ASE most 10% selected analysis area. To propose TDGS shadings efficient angles positions; Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Climate Studio were used, simulation results validated by real-time measurements. design proposal achieved rear part room (zone 2-3), while diminished near façade (zone1). strategy improved through room, demonstrating that perform well together.

Informing Well-balanced Daylight Design Using Lightsolve

Designing spaces that are able to balance illumination, glare and solar gains over a whole year is a real challenge, yet a problem faced every day by building envelope designers. To assist them in this search, a full year, climate-based daylighting simulation method was developed, called Lightsolve, meant to be used early on in the design process when façade and space details have not yet been ...

Predicted Simulation on the Lighting Energy Saving in a Classroom Using the Sun Shading as the Daylight-introducing Device

Because of the characteristics of the subtropical climate in Taiwan, the abundant daylight can be applied well on the savings of the lighting power. This study was to figure out the illumination environment indoors and to introduce the daylight as far as the inner part of rooms. The field measurement and numerical simulation were adopted. A nine-channel photometer was used to measure the illumi...
